It's THE RAGING PEANUTS gettin' ready to ROCK the Jon Lovitz Comedy Club!!!

Wow! 2010 has been such a whirlwind! I've been so lucky to spend SO much time on TV sets this year-- YAY! I can't even believe it! :) Most importantly, my OUTRAGEOUSLY RAD sister, Elisabeth, recently married the love of her life, Calvin Doorlag!! YAAAAAAY, DOORLAGS! :) Congratulations, and thanks for inviting the whole fam along on the cruisin' honeymoon! WHOAH! What a week! Just a few days later, the episode of "Mad Men" I appeared on aired! It is always so cool to see and hear yourself on TV! I hope everyone who wants that gets it... soon! :) I just can't get over it. Call me obsessed, but I LOVE TV! July was a beautiful month full of 12-14 hour days making TV magic... I miss it already! :) Today I had the pleasure of attending the "Married to Rock" Fashion Show in LA, and had such a blast!! I am so happy! I just got home from my very first rehearsal for "MORE COWBELL!!! An SNL Musical" at the Hollywood Fight Club Theatre , and it was AWESOME!! My wonderful director, Mike Bagood, is SO super cool, and was so insanely nice to me! We hadn't really decided which roles I would play, because I somehow finagled the part without auditioning (hehee... I was filming "Mad Men" during auditions!). You will never guess which songs I get to do... "Dick in a Box"!!! "Motherlover"!!! AND hopefully LUNCHLADY LAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There is another actor in the production up for the Adam Sandler role, but I'm going to learn the guitar part after our Raging Peanuts Comedic Concert at the Jon Lovitz Comedy Club tonight! WOW!!!! I love life! Haha. :) Today was absolutely incredible. I have never been on a set with SO MANY smiling people! Everyone at Mad Men made me feel so at home... from the super cool costumers who fitted me with the CUTEST outfits to all those runnin' the show today! Mad Men really gives their actors the STAR TREATMENT!!!! I got my nails done, a Big Time Hollywood Haircut, and TONS of AMAZING catered cuisine!!! My sublime makeup artist, Margie, was SOOO magnificent and hilarious! I tried googling her, and... eep! She just MIGHT be an EMMY-NOMINATED MAKEUP ARTIST!!!!! :O! FOR Sex and the City !!!!! "Now, your character has been partying for a... WHILE... so I have to make you look pretty disheveled. But don't worry, I'll still make you pretty!" Like I said, best crew in the biz. :) :) :) Now, let me tell you, there is NOTHING like being on a set where they go ALL OUT to really set the scene. Prince o' Whales Concert! That's right, ladies and gentlemen... I got to be on Langdon Nation-- one of my FAVORITE podcasts!!! We had SO MUCH FUN!!! You can listen free on iTunes or at HotTalkLA's website ! "Don't you just love a good Monkey?" :) We all went to Mexicali after the show! Langdon Bosarge, Randy Wang, and Brian Whitman-- awesome dudes!! We also got to open for our buddy Nice Peter at Prince o' Whales in Playa del Rey!!! After the show, Pete and I had a live jam sesh and improvised crazy music for a bit. What a fantastic time!!! I've also decided to try doing my "Glee" Audition Song on guitar instead of piano. Woohoo! So... I was using WordPress, but tried Blogger for my "Glee" Audition Blog and fell in love!! "I made the switch!" Haha. Today I was lucky enough to sit in on "Uncle" Denny's voice-over session for Arco-- "straight up gas!" and it was so cool!! Very inspiring! I'm exhausted from work at the restaurant and practicing "Can't Fight This Feeling" (on keyboard + singing) over and over and over again! I caught up on some Hot Talk LA and posted a few videos of us singing at karaoke earlier this week!! :) Randy Wang, ladies and gentlemen!! "Can't Fight This Feeling" -- Me!
